Mission Australia Yellow Door Program begins at Niland School Tuesday 23rd July with Connect-3 Resilience building program for children.
The program is based on the Resilience Doughnut model of building resilience. Children learn about their personal strengths, resilience thinking, improving social skills and mental resilience in changing situations.
Students will be assessed and have the opportunity to be part of the many support programmes Mission Australia Yellow Door program offer. With a only six places offered per session, this ensures children and families maximise the full benefit of support on offer. At the completion of each program all participating students enjoy a celebration luncheon to unsure they compound their support network of school friends.
Yellow Door is completely funded by Mission Australia and entry is either self referral, family or school recommendation. Mission Australia Yellow Door have the ability to provide referrals to external medical and support services that you may require. They provide information, counselling education or support and is tailored to the needs of each individual case.They aim to help and support children whose lives are affected by mental health issues and their families or carers.
As your child becomes involved in any of these programmes we will contact you direct to meet with the Mission Australia Yellow Door team to complete the consent forms.
